Everyday a new video game professional admits they have a blog – and today it’s my blog. Now I’m no Will Wright or Warren Spector – hell I ain’t even a Cliffy B or George Broussard. I’m just a man who toils everyday to think of new ways to run, jump, break, smash and possibly kill little digital people in amusing and fun ways. For two or more people.
My name is Dominic Craig and I’ve been an employed (which I guess makes me a professional) Video Game Designer for over ten years now. My current job is as the Lead Multiplayer Designer on The Incredible Hulk at Edge of Reality in Austin, TX. Before that I worked at Rockstar San Diego on Red Dead Revolver (oh and this), and Sony London on the original Eyetoy project.
I’ve been lucky enough to work with some of the best – and the worst in the industry, and I have maybe one or two funny stories to share – and plenty of unfunny ones. Whatever I decide to talk about I can promise you one thing – bad grammar … and poor spelling. I can promise you two things – bad grammar, poor spelling … and barely coherent paragraphs … Ok, that’s quite enough of that.
Seriously though, notes on video game production, idle thoughts about games, dreams of a glorious connected digital future and maybe one or two observations about things other than gaming – that what you’ll find here. If you were looking for something a little more interesting, Wikipedia is thataway ->
